City College Musical Artists Wanted!
SD Knights Records is excited to announce their search for artists to include on their upcoming compilation, Sounds of City, Vol. II, releasing later this fall on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and more.
All currently-enrolled San Diego City College students are invited to submit up to three (3) original songs for consideration. Please use this form to submit song(s) by Friday, September 13, 2024.
To be eligible:
Artist is a currently-enrolled San Diego City College student. (For bands, at least one member must be a student at City.) Artists do not have to be pursuing a degree in Commercial Music.
Artist is not already signed to an exclusive record contract with another label.
Song is 100% original (no covers, no samples in need of clearance).
Song has already been recorded, mixed, and mastered (or will be by October 9, 2024)
If the song contains any objectionable language (according to the FCC), a clean “radio edit” must be provided
Important notes:
Artist will retain all rights to their song(s) and to their master recordings.
To promote the recording, they may be asked to perform at 1 or 2 shows on campus and/or in the community.
